Easynec Global Leadership Programme 2026: Building the Leader Within

The Easynec Global Leadership Programme (EGLP) 2026 is set to host a leadership development session focused on helping participants understand themselves, strengthen their character and develop the emotional intelligence needed to lead others effectively.

Titled “Building the Leader Within,” the session will be facilitated by Isaac Mintah, Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Coach and CEO of Actiuezoon Universal Limited, on 15 September 2026 at 5:00 PM GMT.

The programme will focus on the theme “Leading Yourself Before Leading Others”, with particular attention to purpose, values, character and emotional intelligence. The session is designed as a practical learning experience for leaders and entrepreneurs.

EGLP 2026 to Focus on Developing Leaders from Within

The “Building the Leader Within” session takes the position that effective leadership begins with the individual.

Rather than focusing exclusively on leadership positions, authority or management techniques, the programme encourages participants to examine who they are, what drives them, the principles they stand for and how their behaviour affects people around them.

The programme identifies self-awareness, purpose, values, character and emotional intelligence as important foundations for leadership development.

Its central message is reflected in the opening reflection of the session: before leading others, individuals must first understand themselves. Participants will be encouraged to honestly examine why they lead, the type of leader they want to become and the behavioural patterns that may be holding them back.

The session will be led by Isaac Mintah, an Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Coach, published author and entrepreneur.

The EGLP 2026 programme profile describes Mintah as the author of more than seven books covering emotional intelligence, leadership, personal branding and personal development. He also works with professionals, founders and organisations across Africa on leadership growth and delivers emotional intelligence, leadership and self-mastery sessions.

He is also identified in the programme material as the founder and CEO of Actiuezoon Universal Ltd.

What Participants Will Learn

The 90-minute session is structured around nine major areas of leadership development.

1. Identity and Self-Awareness

The first area focuses on helping participants understand their leadership identity beyond their professional title.

Participants will consider how they behave under pressure, what motivates them and how other people actually experience their leadership. The programme describes self-awareness as the starting point on which other leadership skills are built.

The session will also encourage leaders to actively seek honest feedback instead of assuming they already know how others perceive them.

2. Purpose

The second area examines the deeper reason behind leadership.

The programme distinguishes between what a person does and why they do it, encouraging participants to identify the purpose that sustains them when challenges arise.

Purpose-driven leadership, according to the session framework, can provide direction and help leaders make decisions based on a clear sense of what they are trying to achieve rather than short-term pressure.

3. Values and Principles

Participants will also explore the role of values in leadership.

The programme emphasises that values are demonstrated through decisions and behaviour, particularly when following those values becomes difficult.

Leaders will examine how consistency between their stated values and actual conduct can influence trust, fairness and organisational culture.

4. Character and Integrity

Another key component is character and integrity.

The programme describes character as who a person is when nobody is watching. It encourages leaders to consider whether they behave consistently with junior employees, colleagues, investors, clients and other stakeholders.

Participants will also explore accountability, consistency and the importance of owning mistakes rather than protecting one's image at the expense of a team.

5. Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence forms a major part of the programme.

The session explores how emotional intelligence can influence trust, relationships, communication and leadership effectiveness. It also examines the ability of leaders to remain emotionally regulated under pressure and to motivate people through genuine human connection rather than authority alone.

The programme identifies four areas within its emotional intelligence framework:

  • Strengths and blind spots
  • Emotional regulation
  • Empathy
  • Resilience and self-mastery

Understanding Leadership Blind Spots

The session will challenge participants to identify areas of their leadership that they may not see clearly.

The programme notes that every leader has strengths and blind spots and argues that leaders who actively seek honest feedback are better positioned to recognise areas for improvement.

Participants will consider the difference between how they intend to come across and how their behaviour actually affects others.

A practical self-assessment will also allow participants to rate themselves on issues including their reasons for leading, emotional awareness, openness to feedback, composure under pressure, recovery from setbacks and consistency in treating people.

Emotional Regulation, Empathy and Resilience

The programme also places emphasis on how leaders respond when faced with pressure and difficult situations.

Participants will explore emotional regulation as the ability to choose a considered response rather than reacting impulsively, particularly during high-pressure moments.

Empathy will focus on understanding what another person may be feeling or experiencing before responding, judging or making a decision.

The session will further examine resilience and self-mastery, presenting resilience not as the absence of setbacks but as the ability to recover deliberately after difficulties.

The Ripple Effect of Leadership Behaviour

One of the programme's key concepts is the “Ripple Effect” of leadership.

According to the session material, the mood, reactions and habits of a leader can influence the people around them. Employees, clients and co-founders can experience a leader's emotional state even when the leader does not intentionally communicate it.

Participants will therefore be encouraged to consider how their behaviour affects team performance, relationships and other real-world outcomes.

The programme's message is that leaders are constantly setting an example, whether deliberately or unintentionally.

Practical Exercises and Case Studies

“Building the Leader Within” is structured as a practical session rather than a lecture alone.

The programme includes case studies, reflection questions and self-assessment exercises designed to help participants apply leadership concepts to realistic situations.

The case studies cover scenarios involving founders, managers, directors and entrepreneurs dealing with challenges such as poor self-awareness, unclear purpose, inconsistent values, emotional reactions, lack of empathy and difficulties responding to setbacks.

These exercises are intended to encourage participants to reflect on their own leadership behaviour and identify practical areas for growth.

Participants to Develop Personal Leadership Statements

A major practical output of the session will be a Personal Leadership Statement.

Participants will be guided to define:

  • Why they lead
  • The values they will not compromise
  • The character they want to be known for
  • How they behave when emotionally at their best
  • How they intend to respond when triggered instead of reacting impulsively

The programme describes the statement as a personal reference point that participants can return to as they continue their leadership journey.

90-Day Leadership Development Priorities

Participants will also identify a specific leadership development priority for the next 90 days.

The exercise asks them to identify their strongest leadership quality, recognise a blind spot, select one area for improvement and determine how they will know whether they are making progress.

The programme encourages participants to focus on one priority at a time rather than attempting to change several areas simultaneously.

Take-Home Assignments for Continued Growth

Leadership development will continue beyond the live session through four practical assignments.

Participants will be encouraged to:

  1. Complete and regularly review their Personal Leadership Statement.
  2. Ask three trusted people to identify a leadership blind spot they may not recognise.
  3. Build one daily self-mastery habit around their main development priority.
  4. Keep a short resilience journal documenting setbacks, responses and lessons for future improvement.

These activities are intended to help participants turn the lessons from the programme into everyday leadership practices.

The Leader Within Framework

The programme brings its key ideas together through the “Leader Within” framework:

Self-Awareness + Purpose + Values + Character + Emotional Intelligence = The Leader Within

Under the framework:

  • Identity gives the leader a mirror.
  • Purpose gives direction.
  • Values provide standards.
  • Character creates credibility.
  • Emotional Intelligence creates connection.

The framework provides a simple way for participants to connect personal development with leadership impact.

Who Should Attend the EGLP 2026 Session?

The “Building the Leader Within” programme is particularly relevant to:

  • Entrepreneurs
  • Business owners
  • Founders and co-founders
  • Managers
  • Team leaders
  • Professionals
  • Emerging leaders
  • Organisational leaders
  • Individuals interested in emotional intelligence and personal development

The programme material specifically presents the session as a practical session for leaders and entrepreneurs.

A Call to Develop the Leader Within

The Easynec Global Leadership Programme 2026 session presents leadership development as an inward journey as much as an outward responsibility.

For leaders and entrepreneurs, technical skills and professional experience are important, but the programme encourages participants to look more closely at the qualities that shape how they use those skills: self-awareness, purpose, values, character, emotional intelligence, empathy and resilience.

The “Building the Leader Within” session therefore provides an opportunity for participants to pause, reflect on their leadership journey and identify practical steps for becoming more intentional in how they lead.

As the programme moves beyond titles and positions, its central question is simple: What kind of leader are you becoming?
