About the role

A community bank in the Eastern Region is hiring Credit Officers to grow and manage its loan book.

What you will do

Find and assess new customers for loans
Appraise loan applications against the bank's credit policy
Visit and interview applicants to confirm their details
Write appraisal reports with a recommendation
Track repayments, follow up overdue loans and support recovery
Mobilise deposits and keep accurate credit records

Requirements

First degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Marketing or similar
Lending, loan recovery or microfinance experience is a plus
Good analytical, negotiation and people skills; comfortable with MS Office
Willing to travel for field visits; riding a motorbike is an advantage
