Leadership requires more than authority, confidence or technical competence. Leaders must communicate expectations, make decisions, establish boundaries, address poor performance, manage disagreement and influence people with different personalities and perspectives. How a leader handles these situations can determine whether people respond with trust and commitment, or with fear, confusion and resistance.
Assertive Leadership is a practical professional-development course that helps you communicate and lead with confidence while maintaining respect for others. It explores the difference between assertiveness, passivity, aggression and passive-aggressive behaviour, and shows how assertive leadership applies to communication, boundaries, feedback, conflict, decision-making, delegation, emotional intelligence and team leadership.
Rather than focusing only on theory, the course uses realistic scenarios, 13 case studies, reflection exercises and practical frameworks such as DESC, SBI and the Pause Principle that you can apply in professional, academic, entrepreneurial, organisational and community leadership.
