A practical guide to the Forever C9 (Clean 9) programme in Ghana: what’s in the pack, the 9-day plan, realistic results, who should not use it, and how to keep the progress afterwards.
The Forever C9 (Clean 9) programme is one of the most searched weight-management packs in Ghana. People buy it before weddings, after the festive season, or simply to “reset” their eating habits. But what exactly is in the pack, how does the 9-day plan work, and what results are realistic?
This guide explains it clearly, including who should not use it and how to keep the progress after day 9.
What is Forever C9?
Forever C9 is a 9-day cleansing and weight-management programme from Forever Living Products. It combines a structured eating plan with Forever products that replace some meals, add fibre and support appetite control. The idea is to break unhealthy eating patterns, reduce portion sizes and start a healthier routine.
What’s inside the C9 pack?
- Forever Aloe Vera Gel: an inner-leaf aloe drink taken daily during the programme
- Forever Lite Ultra: a protein shake (vanilla or chocolate) used as a meal replacement. See Forever Lite Ultra
- Forever Garcinia Plus: garcinia cambogia softgels with chromium. See Forever Garcinia Plus
- Forever Therm: a supplement with plant extracts and B vitamins
- Forever Fiber: fibre sachets mixed into water
- A step-by-step booklet, a measuring tape and a shaker

How the 9-day plan works
Days 1–2: the strictest phase
You take aloe gel, fibre, Garcinia Plus and Therm as directed, with Lite Ultra shakes replacing meals, plus plenty of water. Calorie intake is low, which is why many people feel hungry or tired on these days.
Days 3–8: shakes plus a controlled meal
You continue the products and add one sensible, low-calorie meal (for example grilled fish or chicken with vegetables), plus permitted fruits and vegetables as snacks.
Day 9: transition
You prepare to return to normal eating, ideally with the smaller portions and better habits you practised during the 9 days.
Always follow the booklet in the pack, which has the exact daily schedule.
What results can you realistically expect?
Many people report losing a few kilograms and feeling “lighter” within 9 days. Be realistic about why: during any low-calorie plan, early weight loss includes water and gut content, not only fat. Lasting fat loss depends on what you do after the 9 days.
Some of the ingredients have limited scientific support. For example, the US National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health says it is unclear whether garcinia cambogia helps with weight loss. The main driver of results on C9 is the structured, lower-calorie eating, more water and the habit change.
Who should not use C9 (or should see a doctor first)
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Anyone under 18
- People with diabetes, especially on insulin or sugar-lowering medicine (risk of low blood sugar)
- People with liver or kidney disease, heart conditions or eating disorders
- Anyone on regular medication (some ingredients, such as garcinia, may interact with medicines)
Stop and seek medical advice if you feel dizzy, faint, have severe stomach upset, yellowing of the eyes or skin, or dark urine.
Tips to get the best from C9
- Prepare: plan your days, buy vegetables and fruit, and avoid starting C9 during a busy social week.
- Drink water: aim for at least 8 glasses a day.
- Move gently: walking 20–30 minutes daily is enough; avoid very intense workouts on days 1–2.
- Measure, don’t just weigh: record your waist and hip measurements on day 1 and day 9.
- Plan for day 10: continue one shake a day, smaller portions and regular exercise.
After C9: keeping the results
The biggest mistake is returning to heavy portions of fufu, banku, fried rice, sugary drinks and late-night eating straight after day 9. To keep your progress:
- Replace one meal a day with a protein shake such as Forever Lite Ultra, or have a protein-rich breakfast.
- Fill half your plate with vegetables; keep starchy portions to about a quarter.
- Cut sugary drinks and alcohol.
- Walk daily and add simple strength exercises twice a week.
